Caring well
Our purpose
Offer Christ-centered, clinically-informed counseling.
Christ-centered
We believe God speaks words of grace, truth, and hope. His words are recorded for us in the Scriptures and work on our behalf. As counseling staff, we align ourselves with God’s transcendent truth and wisdom as the very foundation of our counseling ministry -- supporting clients to apply the Gospel to the deepest parts of their lives. We believe ultimate hope and healing is found in God’s redeeming grace expressed to us in Christ.
Clinically-informed
Our counseling staff are made up of a variety of trained counselors: licensed mental health counselors, licensed independent social workers and licensed marriage and family therapists. All of our staff work as a team to provide our clients the best care possible.
Provide expert professional care while working closely with churches in the Cedar Valley and surrounding communities.
Church Partnerships
We believe the most effective context for long term, lasting transformation is the local church. We understand that pastors or church leaders often wrestle with how to provide the best soul-care possible for those in their local church. We know there are often circumstances that require more specific and specialized care. We also know how difficult it can be to find a trusted counselor to work with, who shares a similar mission, vision, and values. Therefore, one of the most important things we do is develop strong partnerships with local churches. Our counselors are available to partner with churches in the care of their people by providing counseling that addresses the needs of the mind, body, and soul.
Advocate Model
As professional counselors, we believe support networks are critical to sustained and lasting change in the client. People need the love and encouragement of others as they progress in the counseling process. They often need an advocate; someone to walk this path with them. Advocates can be concerned friends, family members, lay counselors, or church leaders who walk alongside the client. These advocates may join in the counseling process at the counseling center and then provide help after leaving the counseling process by encouraging the client to apply their knowledge gained during the counseling process. If they so desire, clients can choose to invite an advocate to be a part of their counseling journey.
